Quality Control Before Dispatch
Pre-dispatch testing
Special Electronics Co., Ltd maintains a rigorous inspection protocol for every order processed through Laptop Power Jack Inc. We do not ship untested components to our B2B clients. Our technicians execute category-specific validation steps before any item leaves our Hong Kong facility.
- AC Adapters: We measure output voltage under load and verify plug type accuracy.
- DC Power Jacks: Testing includes continuity checks and physical pin alignment verification.
- Batteries: Every unit undergoes a capacity check and a charge cycle test.
- LCD Screens: Technicians perform a pixel scan and a backlight intensity check.
- Keyboards: We use testing software to ensure every key registers correctly.
This systematic approach ensures that repair shops receive functional parts immediately upon arrival. Our 48-hour dispatch window includes these essential inspection steps.
Packaging standards
Transit damage represents a significant cost for IT distributors and refurbishers. We mitigate this risk through specialized packaging materials tailored to component sensitivity. Circuit boards are encased in anti-static shielding to prevent electrostatic discharge during transit. LCD screens require high-density foam protection to absorb mechanical shocks.
Small connector parts receive individual placement within separate kraft envelopes. This method prevents small components from rattling or becoming lost within larger shipping boxes. By isolating fragile items, we reduce the likelihood of arrival-side damage across our worldwide shipping routes via Hongkong Post.
Defect tracking
We use a data-driven approach to manage our inventory quality. Every return received during our 14-day window is logged with its specific SKU and failure reason. This creates a continuous feedback loop for our procurement team.
If a single SKU exceeds a 5% defect rate over any 30-day period, we immediately pull that item from our active listings. We then initiate an audit of the specific supplier batch associated with those units. This prevents recurring hardware issues from affecting your business operations.
What we cannot guarantee
Professional technicians should account for certain variables that fall outside our technical control. We cannot guarantee physical compatibility with chassis variants not listed in our current specification database. Cosmetic differences, such as matte versus glossy finishes, may occur depending on the manufacturer's production run. Additionally, revision-dependent firmware quirks on motherboards can occasionally cause unexpected behavior with specific replacement parts.
